Steven Spielberg Short Success Story! Steven Allan Spielberg (born December 18, 1946) is an American movie director, producer, and screenwriter. He started his profession in the New Hollywood technology and is one of the most commercially profitable administrators in history. Spielberg is the recipient of more than a few accolades, which include two Academy Awards for Best Director, a Kennedy Center Honor, and a Cecil B. DeMille Award.

Spielberg was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. He later moved to California and studied movies in college. After directing tv episodes and a number of minor movies for Universal Studios, he grew to be a household identify for directing 1975’s summertime blockbuster Jaws. He then directed container workplace hits Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), and the journey movies in the Indiana Jones series. Steven Spielberg was rejected three times when he applied to the USC School of Theater, Film and Television.

He ended up going to Long Beach State. After directing and producing such blockbuster hits as Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, E.T., Jurassic Park, The Color Purple, Saving Private Ryan, and Lincoln, he now sits on the Board of Directors of the USC film school, and donates a million dollars a year to the school.
